You sound like you have a fun sense of humour. Your writing captures your light-hearted and playful personality so well.

I smiled at this line:

"I realised we were left with one option: to win the Lottery."

It captures this attitude of "everything is possible" so well.

Thank you, I’m pleased that you see it from this angle. As my mum said: the only way you’re going to win the lottery as if you play it. Bit addictive, though. Ax

We rent a one bedroom flat and with the cost of rent, we have no way of saving for a deposit. You guessed it, I also play the lottery and I’m just biding my time until the big win 😂

I hope you win!!

Love this attitude! Instead of being bitter about your current situation, you know it's only temporary ;)

Have you read about those syndicates in America where a few others put books in and people put their email in to win the bundle? This would drive a tonne of subscriptions I think and then sales from there? You can have a copy of mine for the bundle? It’s called Creativity Island for Mums - I self published it in the pandemic. I also think you could sell the book into yoga studios?

I love this Annie! That an ultimately disappointing fling with the lottery leads you back to your own beautiful work. So positive and hope-filled ✨

Anna, I love this. Your candid confession is heartwarming and strikes very close to my own heart. And as soon as I close out this window, I'm headed to the US Amazon site (where I live) to check out your book! As soon as I check my own lottery ticket numbers from last night... tee hee :) Then off to work on my own WIP, another million dollar book! (Praying for both of us)

Thank you so much, Frances. Good luck with both the lottery and your book x

I play the lottery. One line, twice a week. Occasional small win, lots of free lucky dips. I view it as in it to win it, and a way to give to a lot of charities too. A lot of GB athletes benefit from lottery funding. Well, that’s how I’m justifying it! 😂

Brilliant way to justify it x and absolutely: in it to win it. Good luck!

I presume you’ve already done a manifesting board specifically for that week?

Also, you might want to chat to @saranasserdalrymple who knows the tricks to get your book on to the Amazon bestseller list which will increase sales.

Not sure if that impacts the Sunday Times list though.

Good luck and post a link to wherever you want us to buy it from in your post for that week. 😃🤞

If you can find an indie bookshop to partner with to do lots of events and sales ahead of publication - then you could ask them to put all the sales through the till in one week? I know someone who is currently trialing this with a kids book and doing lots of school visits so I don't know if it will work yet!

A flyer for the postcode lottery came in through my letter box this week and I thought, is it time for me to start playing the lottery!?? But I resisted the urge, mostly because I don't want to get sucked in... I am all ears for woo-woo SQ raising abundance making community building conversation, though! I'd be well up for some kind of online event to help spread the word of your book and sell those 2000 copies. We're here in your community for a reason - call upon us :)
