Oh wow thank you for this! I always seem to see women and wonder how they do it - thanks for *actually* explaining how to do it beyond 'when they nap'. With a 3 year old and a 4 month in tow, my big 2024 plans needed this article 🙏✨🫶

I adore reading about the behind the scenes of Mothering alongside career/business...so much so I’ve been considering a podcast on exactly this with other creative mothers! Maybe this is my sign! Thank you for sharing it. Xx

One of my fixations for the last 11 years since I became a mum is how do mums with careers do 'it'. I think some of it is nosiness, but its also to do with how I feel about the career-sacrifices I've chosen/ had thrust upon me. I'm often able to identify an unhealthy amount of internalised misogyny in how I respond to hearing how other mums navigate their work life. I often suspect I'm just a bit crap but then I realise what I'm experiencing is very much a flawed system rather than individual failings (I've actually drafted a post about this). Transparent posts like this are equal parts comforting, instructive and motivational, Annie - thank you! I especially like the approach you describes of defining what is non-negotiable vs what is a priority vs what has to take a back seat at times. That's definitely an exercise I need to try.
