Two different comfort zones: work and social

I've been pushing myself out my 'work' comfort zone, as well as the social one. Here's how it going...

Last week I ran my first ever poetry workshop.

I’ve been writing poetry since childhood and sharing it online for about 15 years - first via a blog and later, on Instagram (@annieridoutpoetry).

People have kindly shared my poems online and they’ve been featured in some publications and anthologies.

But because I haven’t had a collection published traditionally - I’ve self-published three poetry books - I kept questioning whether I was ‘qualified’ to lead a workshop.

However, someone had asked me to and so I knew that at least one person would sign up. She did, and several others did. But then something pretty awkward happened.
