Let's spring clean your mind
by letting go of winter and setting down some dreams and goals for the new season...
I always know something’s shifted when I find myself obsessively writing poems in the Notes app on my phone and posting three times a day on Instagram.
It means I’m feeling inspired.
On Sunday, my sister came round for a roast and told me she’s full of ideas. We spoke about the spring energy that can turn on a light sometimes dimmed by winter.
This morning, I questioned how healthy it is to have such long, cold, dark winters.
I wondered if it might be possible to migrate for winter, like the birds; to head somewhere warmer.
But then maybe we’re meant to have a few slow months, where we keep our heads down, so that we can enjoy the contrast of the light returning.
Last week, we celebrated the spring equinox.
I made a picnic for me and my three kids and we sat on the grass, on a blanket, in a London park.
The early spring sun was casting the most beautiful light across us, and I felt grateful for the shift to lighter, warmer days.
After a challenging winter - relocating; settling the kids in yet-another new school - I’m getting back into London life and I’m ready to set goals for the next quarter.
If you’d like to join me, here are some questions to help you to reflect, dream, plan and do…
