I'm moving onto a narrowboat
Ok, not quite. But it's a flat in the shape of a narrowboat, with a similar square-footage, so I'm getting inspiration from #narrowboatliving on Pinterest.
A few years back, before I’d left London for Somerset - and then returned, two years later - I created a vision-board. On it, there was a photo of a beautiful double-fronted house on my favourite street in north London. I wanted to live there.
It cost £3,000,000 so it wasn’t likely that I ever would be able to live there. But, you know, we can dream.
Since that vision-boarding session, I’ve lived in a tiny cottage, a lovely spacious house and now, I’m living in my parents’ house, which has plenty of space for the two of them, plus me and my family of five. It doesn’t feel like we’re on top of each other.
During this time, I’ve had a few realisations.
