Create your own manifesto for life
A short and potentially life-changing exercise.
I’d like to invite you to do an exercise: create your own manifesto about how you’d like to live your life.
This is something that we might do as business owners, in terms of what we promise to do as a company, but less often as individuals.
However, committing to a series of statements, or declarations, about who we are and who we’d like to be, can help us to move into the highest version of ourselves.
Before writing your manifesto, you might like to close your eyes, place a hand on your heart and take some nice deep breaths…
Inhale through your nose; sigh loudly and unashamedly as you exhale through your mouth. Ask yourself: “Who am I, and who do I want to be?”
So, are you ready to create your own manifesto?
Here’s mine.
Annie’s Manifesto for Life:
• I write daily.
• I am bold.
• I am creative.
• I have big dreams.
• I believe in magic.
• I am whole and capable.
• I trust and collaborate with fellow women.
• I value work, rest and play.
• I say “yes” even if it feels scary.
• I say “no” if it’s not right for me.
• I celebrate the successes of others.
• I am healthy in body, mind and spirit.
• I take regular breaks.
